Saving Tigers Together with Tiger Biologist Kae Kawanishi

Dr Kae Kawanishi is a world-renowned tiger biologist and the General Manager of the Malaysian Conservation Alliance for Tigers (MYCAT). Dr Kae has been fighting to conserve the Malayan tiger for 20 years. She is a strong advocate of partnerships between governments, NGOs and civil society for tiger conservation.

The Malayan tiger, Panthera tigris jacksoni, found only in the Malay Peninsula, was recognised in 2004 as the ninth sub-species of tiger in the world. To date, three sub-species have gone extinct.

The Malayan tiger needs sustained awareness and support from concerned citizens around the world. We need more people to join the fight to save our tigers. It may not take much to push them closer to extinction so we must act urgently if we are to save this magnificent animal.

The time to save them is now.

Join us to learn how MYCAT is protecting the last remaining wild tigers in the western Taman Negara forest complex and in the Banjaran Titiwangsa or Main Range of Malaysia. Find out how people in Singapore have been making a difference in the last few years and how you can make a difference too!
